Here's a layout for another page of Paul's Space strip. I noticed when looking at it on screen the guy's leg under the blanket looks a bit dodgy so I'll sort that out when I tighten it up. I made my own template for the pages too, which I really enjoyed doing for some reason. Stuck up some faces I sketched too.

Really nice stuff Dylan! Are the perspective grids hand drawn or done on the computer?
ps Well done on this weeks 2000ad cover.
Looking REALLY good Dylan Panel four especially. I'm sure the inked version will look amazing.
Thanks James and Paul.
James, the pespective is done by hand if you look closely in panel 4 you'll see one of the vanishing points. I do my roughs at print size so that the vanishing points don't get too far away. On this one I scanned it in and put the gutters on in photoshop and the panel outlines. This is so it looks all neat when I print it out art size in blueline and I don't have use the t square to get all the panles right.
and what kind of pencils do you use when sketching?
sorry,that's such an anal question.
like it really makes any difference...
great art is great art,etc.
I use sanford Col-erase Dark Blue on the comic page scanned in as greyscale so it picked it up better. I use Sanford Col-Erase Vermillion for my sketching.
Exellent as ever Dylan. This is going to be a really great book. When are you expecting it to be done?
This looks like a really great layout. I follow the same preparation in doing a page. Layout is on print size for perspective reasons and then I blow it up to A3 size and work on from there.
