Here's some quick studies from magazines and some Modesty Blaise sketches...

Here's a layout for another page of Paul's Space strip. I noticed when looking at it on screen the guy's leg under the blanket looks a bit dodgy so I'll sort that out when I tighten it up. I made my own template for the pages too, which I really enjoyed doing for some reason. Stuck up some faces I sketched too.

Finally got around to finishing a page of Paul Neal's script. hopefully get some more done soon.

I'm quite enjoying colouring these up. I'd like to maybe try a whole strip like this.

Bits and bobs

Here's some recent sketching. Some of it's just random stuff but there's a few ideas I had for a 2000ad cover a while back. I did the colouring on a David Roach strip and was going to ask if I could do a cover for it. In the end I ran out of time.

Here's a detail of a 2000ad cover I've just done. Haven't been doing that much sketching lately and what I have done hasn't been too exciting.

Here's a robot /cyborg type thing I tried doing Serpieri type hatching in the bg but it looks a bit of a mess, just can't work out how he does it.

Experiment

After Seeing Dave Taylor's blog and his colours over his pencils, which looked great, I thought I'd try it out. I tightened up a little sketch I'd done and scanned it in and upped the contrast a bit, it's still a bit iffy in places but it left me a lot more room for work in the colours. I quite like it ,though I'm not sure how much time it would save as the colouring seems to take longer this way. Oh and I chickened out of doing the spaceship that was in the rough as it would've taken too long.
