I had a great time doing this once I got my head around drawing all the figures. I stuck in a lot of my fave Dredd characters. I'm quite pleased with how it came out. I went for a classic feel to the covers trying to use the colours Bplland used to for Dredd's outfit, going for a blue suit and shiny gold shoulder pads with quite a saturated red for the helmet too. It's been chopped about a bit on the actual cover, Dredd's lost his feet, but the new look of the Meg is quite cool.
When, oh when, are ya going to update this page, Big D?
ReplyDeleteHeh, sorry Mark, didn't realise anyone actually looked at the page, just did an update tho.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo!
ReplyDeleteHi Dylan,
ReplyDeleteI am just starting to draw and was wondering, in addition to pen and pencil, what software do you use for the excellent images I saw in you blog?
You have also illustrated books, e.g. "Police TV", for Oxford Press.
Thanks George,
ReplyDeleteAfter I've penciled the pic I go over it in ink using a brush. Then I scan it into the computer and colour it using photoshop.
Fab !
